Photo: Fromm addresses the "Friends of the British National Party" in March, 2000. The text accompanying the photo said "There were three main speakers, the first of which was Paul Fromm from Canada, who spoke about the racial problems north of the border and Nationalists lack of free speech in that country. He draped the Old Canadian flag (which includes the Union jack) over the podium, and explained that this was the true flag of British-Canadians, not the liberal maple leaf that the left wing government now flies." Fromm shared the podium that day with Stormfront's Don Black and former KKK leader David Duke.

""The appellant's submission that he has been deprived of his constitutional rights in sections 2 and 3 of the Charter must be considered in the context of his obligations in his chosen profession. Persons have the rights to the freedoms set out in sections 2 and 3. However, when one chooses a profession in the public domain one must obey the terms of employment while engaged in her or his duties. Judges ought not to make political speeches while a Judge. At least one Canadian judge resigned for expressing certain views, Boards of Education are entitled and indeed required to impose certain conditions of employment on teachers. In the case at bar, Mr. Fromm breached his contract of employment, express or implied, and was properly dismissed.
The appellant has not demonstrated, on a balance of probabilities, that any of his Charter rights have been infringed.
The decision of the Board of Referees is correct. There is no reviewable error.
The appeal is dismissed. "
